The Mouldings facilities at JRD comprise a selection of
up stroking compression presses with a lock force range of 35 to 250 tons.
In 1980, the first injection moulding press was purchased to enable more complex products to be manufactured. The company has continued to invest in further injection moulding machines as a means of improving both quality and production efficiency.
We now have 3 brand new V58 REP presses and expect delivery of a
fourth press later this year.
The company includes within its product range, bearing seals, rollers (business machines), valves, gaskets plus a wide range of miscellaneous items as requested by our customer base. These products can be moulded in a wide range of commercially available elastomers.
We have developed particular expertise in bonding rubber to metal, ceramics and
PTFE. These applications cover small bearing seals up to large cast steel pipe valves.
After updating our approval to ISO 9001 - 2000 in March 2003, we
have continued to improve our quality systems. Jan
2004, we were awarded ISO TS 16949 making us one of the few tier two
companies in the UK with this approval.
As a manufacturing company, we
are very aware of the impact that our processes have on the
environment. Consequently, we have decided to update our
Quality standard further and work towards attaining ISO 14001.
This process has started already and we hope to have in place by end
of 2008, early 2009.
